:) That was a lovely, thoughtful fic, nothing too melodramatic or overblown, but profound enough to make it an exceptionally good read. I especially like the last scene, the conversation between Rogue and Gambit. You have a good handle, both on the characters and the dynamics of their relationship, which is more than many fanfic writers have. I don't know whether I'd personally buy that Gambit would remain celibate just for her, but apart from that being a personal conviction, you make a good and very heartfelt case for this decision and it made me wish that there were more guys around like that!

Your writing is also very strong, and you have a great turn of phrase that makes your writing run very smoothly. It needs a bit of polishing, but it's nevertheless very refreshing to see amongst some of the other, less-accomplished fics out there. A few phrases I especially liked:

"she could only imagine what alcohol induced epiphanies where swirling around his head."

"you've touched me in more ways den anyone, and dat's without touchin' me much at all."

"When lookin' s'all you got, lookin' around ain't such a nice t'ing to do."

Great work, keep at it!

Aw, that was great. Loved every bit of it.

I really liked how Rogue took Gambit trying to kiss Sage. It was very mature of her. And I loved Storm's reaction when Gambit came out. Nice to see her sticking up for Rogue and telling Remy he was wrong instead of being his one woman cheering squad like in so many fan fics. A lot of people seem to forget that she is friends with both of them so it was nice to see her concern for Rogue too.

I love this story. It's one of the most believable takes on the "drunk" Gambit stories I've seen and more so - very believable in what the characters might really feel. Bravo.
