So after reviewing your other Sam/Janet/Cassie story, I decided I needed to read this one, despite the "Heroes" spoilers. Dead!Janet! *wibbles* Nevertheless, this, too, was gorgeous! I really like it even better than the other one, despite the sad ending. *sobs* Janet's "I'm here" really struck me so forcefully throughout "Rite of Passage" and it's so fitting that you've used it here. *sobs more* Beautiful!

That is an amazing look at mom's and adopted life. Absolutely awesome character study of Cassie, Sam and Janet. There isn't much else for me to say, it's an incredible story.
