tabbyhellcat 2/21/05 . chapter 3 wow, I can't see why you don't have more reviews because this is great! You captured Holmes well as a child (I think) and I can't wait to read more of your work. |
Neoholmesz 1/4/05 . chapter 3I'm back! I just had to review this story, it was great! After I read your Russell and Holmes fic I had to see what this one was like! I was definetly not dissapointed! You must keep this up. You have a wonderful talent for writing these stories. This may sound crazy but I read your bio and I like every single movie you like AND I love anime. (The ending of From Hell did kinda suck...oops! hope I didn't just start something!^_^) You have to e-mail me some time. You sound like the coolest person! What kind of anime do you like? I can't think of many that I DON'T like, but my favs would have to be Dragon Ball Z,InuYasha, and Cowboy Bebop... There's more, trust me, but It would take all day to write them all down!
LOL^_^ You put Holmes' riddle on your bio! Cool!
Gotta love that movie...
Well gotta go, just thought this fic deserved a nice, long review! Hope to hear from you l8ter.
Seeya!

violet lily13 1/2/05 . chapter 3:-D Loved the ending! In fact, I loved the whole story! Please write some more Holmes fics because you write them very well. |
violet lily13 1/2/05 . chapter 2Once again, great chapter! I especially like your dialogue - with Wallace and the maid. You give each character a different voice, which really makes the story more realistic. The mystery is getting more interesting too.
btw, I've read Baring-Gould's biography and it's good background information on Holmes, but some of the things the author says are a little out there (like the identity of SH and IA's son). Probably you could find it at the library, that's where I had to dig up the copy I read. ;-) |
violet lily13 1/2/05 . chapter 1This is a really great story so far. It brings to mind the movie "Young Sherlock Holmes", except I like this version of his childhood much better. It's also nice that you have the story from Holmes' own perspective. *eagerly runs to read the next chapter* |
BlackMoon13 12/31/04 . chapter 3^_^ poor holmes. Yhea! I will look for your new stroy when it comes out. But i ask if you do a different story after this, plz make a good sher/russ story .I am such a big fan of these storys but there are so few of them!Do you know of a site that has sher/russ fics besides and thehive?Anyway, good story, keep it up, and all that other stuff. |
marylinusca 12/28/04 . chapter 1 Hello and welcome to the pre-Mary Russell part of Sherlock Holmes' life.
W.S. Baring-Gould has been out of print for some time, so you might want to check Abebooks or another site for used books if your public library does not own a copy. If you live in Toronto, check out the Arthur Conan Doyle Collection in the Toronto Reference Library. They have both the Baring-Gould and the Klinger annotated versions of the 'canon'.
Best thing, I think, is to check out the stories themselves and ponder over what you think made Holmes, ... well... Holmes. It also raises the stats of your local library.
Good writing. I can tell you are very good. So, please continue on with this story and I hope you have fun with it.
