I'm going to go with the "him" as being Bill, and say that this is brilliant in a heartwrenching sort of way.

I like to think it's Roslin and the "his" Adama, but then I'm a 'shipper, so who else would I think? :)

I love your work. (I know, I repeat myself.) You have a talent for putting into words thoughts and feelings that I barely knew existed, let alone could be articulated. (I know, I don't know what I mean, either. LOL)
