this was really interesting and original! I love seeing raph get hurt for his brothers (i'm horrible). what made me really love this fic was the 10 years later bit. imagining an older raph with that shell armour is really hot. great job

Wow, that was really good! I like how Raph finally realized that even though he kept telling himself he would willingly sacrifice himself for his brothers/friends but when he did sacrifice a part of him he regretted it and became angry. I'm glad he finally came to terms with it. After all, his brother and friend's life were worth half his shell, right?

I also loved the end where he talks about life having ugly parts but still having some really beautiful parts, just having to know when and where to look, that was beautiful and so true. It's all about the attitude you -choose- to have regarding life's events after all. It was fun to read Raph's thinking transform like it did in this story. Very touching.

This was sweet, full of drama and Raph anger/sad/whatever else goodness! I loved it, gunna fave it, and rec it to friends!

That was good, well done. Though 60 may be old for a human but for a turtle it's just bairly middle age.

That was good! I liked it. I once found a turtle in my neighborhood (which is weird I found out later that it was a pet that got hit by an electric lawn mower) that had a big chunk of his shell and the flesh missing. Maggots were inside of it. I took it to the Bronx zoo. They used dental acryllic to fix up the shell.

I could see Mikey and April trying to help. And yeah if Raph thinks something is missing in himself (eyesight his shell) he would get scared. :)

Anyway great story keep writing! :)

YAY! Raph's little bout with depression was very well written, and I love how you decided to bring him back out into the room while everyone, even Casey and April were there. That was great!

Definitely could imagine Raph taking a blow for any one of his family or friends, for sure. Even going through what he went through, I'm sure he wouldn't have done it any different. Poor Raph, I really felt for him in this fic. Great writing.

I really liked this. I enjoyed the whole Raph POV and the fact that yes, he would sacrifice himself gladly- and yet, it seemed so horrible to him, the damage to the shell- almost a metaphor for his own "hard edge" (personality/wise).

Well done.
