I've never seen anything from Alice's POV before, and it's certainly an interesting read. You've characterised her as a fiery and passionate narrator.

And his description of Frank is so cute I have to wonder why he's not "remotely appealing".

[Frank Longbottom is not the sort of bloke you date.] - perhaps add a "just" there to emphasise it, otherwise it's a bit of a weak repetition.

Lol, he sounds a little like Hermione.

[Taking a zero for the day's work would be loads simpler, of course, ] - because they have to put the effort in and study? Shame on you Alice...though her narrative voice doesn't really seem to agree with that.

And a very nice touch with the Remembrall; Neville reference.

That little snow-stroll was a gorgeous little image, particularly when Alice gets carried away with it. I'd suggest putting ellipses or a dash after "it's better with company" as opposed to a fullstop then; it makes the "Ahem" more pronounced.

[Not that anything did happen, nor could it ever.] - "could it ever" sounds a bit odd there.

Alice is so in denial now, with how the repetition develops subtly each time (except the second, which I've already mentioned).

The end was gorgeous, and it's a bit of a sad reality although you've wrote it almost fluffily. :) Nice work.

I found this in the favorite stories of one of my favorite authors. I wasn't going to read it at first but when i saw it was just a short one shot I figured I'd check it out. I was curious what could be done with Neville's parents since they were minor characters only referenced in the books.
I am glad I checked it out. That was one of the cutest and sweetest fics I've read. I'm going to have to go to your profile and see what other stories you've written.

I LOVE THIS. when i finished reading i just sort of went, sqeeeeeee for a good minute and a half. the set-up, deft characterizations, and clean prose are all spot-on. there isn't nearly enough frank/alice fanfic out there, and this one has made my reclist.

Oh lord. I was fine up until that last line. I'm dead. I'm crying. So beautiful. I loved this.
