This was absolutely perfect; such a realistic take on their relationship and how it came to be that I honestly can't see it happening any other way. I think that everyone was wonderfully in character, and I especially loved Anya's way of dealing with everything - from the loss of Xander's eye to the revelation of Spike and Xander's relationship.

I like how Spike was the only one who could really 'see' Xander, and how their relationship took a while to develop; how you acknowledged the awkward phases rather than just skipping over them. I know I've already said it, but it was all so very realistic and absolutely perfect in how it /wasn't/ perfect.

Normally, I would try to add some concrit, but I honestly can't think of anything, except that I would love to read more. I'm going to have to check out your site :)

Have to say, this is just about the sweetest story ever. It made me extremely happy. This is what love should be (even if they don't say they're in love, they totally are :D). It shouldn't be all whinewhingeouchie it should be like . . . simple and easy and accepting. I went to your site with all your fics and essays and stuff and I must say, reading 'the evolution of a smut writer' made my life a little bit. This pervurt is curious of the story with the minor gay character who went on to seduce the main character. If you think it's not bad (I don't know how old you were when you wrote it) I would definitely not mind at all if you would send it to me. thanks :D

I absolutely love the flow of this ficlet. It's not hurried, and it doesn't give too much information to "fluff it up" or lengthen it. Just need to know, in depth info, and a smooth development of a relationship. Lovely.
