Very hot and passionate! And a secret meeting? Oh, how old fashioned and romantic of you. I'm so excited, and I can't wait until you update! My only question is...only one more chapter? *pout* It would be wonderful if there was some sort of conflict or something...but then again, I kind of like this as a little vignette into their coming together. Either way, it's been written very nicely!
I thought it was beautiful how you showed us the darkness and insecurity blooming in Anakin's heart, that was really nice. And the dual meditation? Gyah! Only on one other occasion have I seen it written so well. The shared posture, the shared hands?
"It is only a few hours until morning when Anakin finally makes an attempt to raise his weary head. He calmly, humbly, makes tentative positioning motions across from Obi-Wan. Obi-Wan, in turn, makes his own, and they take the dual-meditative pose. Obi-Wan is shocked when Anakin takes his palms, before he can cross-cup them in his lap, and holds them in his own. They are knee-to-knee, palm-to-palm, and psyche-to-psyche. He relaxes, and releases himself into a kind of focus that is the most natural, and the most forgotten."
That paragraph was just stunning, beautiful. Very ambient. And then the confession, refreshingly on Obi-Wan's part! Very good! It worked really well! And Anakin's hesitance, it was all very nicely done. Another great chapter!
Oh, the emotions of Anakin! So raw and intense. It was quite beautiful. But of course, as the O/A person I am, I was just enamored with Anakin's fear of loss, even of passage to the Force that they serve. And then, Obi-Wan opening his arms to him? Offering him a place to call home, arms to cry in and let him be himself in?
I melted. What a wonderful chapter.
And I also really liked that Padme showed him the way out with a wink and a gesture. They must have a code :D Wonderful.
I've already read this entire story, but I think you deserve a review for each wonderful chapter of this! Why don't you have more readers? This is beautiful, poetic, charming, and I love the philosohpy you've imbedded, the science of duality, and how it plays so much in the Jedi way. The Jedi truly became too powerful, and though darkness isn't always good, it must always be around, so that the light doesn't just sit on its power. Beautiful, and very deep, spiritual story you have going here! It's been a pleasure to read!
I love Obi-Wan's musings on the true meaning of the Force-that is truly what meditation is about...opening yourself to the truth, the answers, or at least, possibilities! So lovely, and such a fresh view-Obi-Wan not being the stuffy old Master without the ability to be a free-thinker! Gah. Very nice.
