this feels like an ending... but it feels like there is no closure. Why do I do this read stories not finished or updated in years.

I see that you still post fanfic... and it's been a few years (or 4) since you have posted anything with this story. I really enjoyed the story and hope you complete it. I really dislike it when authors leave us readers hanging! Please post or comment on this story soon!

I just thought I should let you know that I've re-read this whole story quite a few times now over the years, and it has to be the best fan work I've read with so many original characters- you've managed to give them all realistic traits and also stayed true to the bent of the original series. And, of course, if you were ever to continue the story, it would be much appreciated :-)

I just finished reading this whole gigantic fic over the course of the last three days (giving up reading regular books for that time in its favor, which says something) and I thought I should say now that I really liked it and I want you to write more. This doesn't have a complete tag on it, so hopefully that means you will get to it eventually. I'll read if you write, anyway. I want to see what happens, at least when the ship leaves. It doesn't feel finished yet, at least not until everything with Alonzo gets resolved (i.e. why did he lose his alien communication mojo and whether he'll grow a pair and decide to stay with Julia) and we get at least your reasoning for why the Sadlers decide to stay on planet when they hate everything about it. I also really appreciated the Harry Potter reference in True and Uly's literature homework. Just thought I should add that. Anyway, you did a really good job on this and I'd love to see more. This is rather lavish praise from me, but I've read the Earth 2 novels and I liked this better. That's all. :D

Working my way through Earth 2 Fic and fell in love with this story... just about died that you've not finished it. Please please please come back and give us an ending?

Fix Alonzo and Julia... show us what happens when the Colony ship leaves.

I enjoy how much everyone on Advanced grew and changed with the planet.

Well, first the critique. A few typos, mostly words crammed together without spaces to create odd word amalgamations and confusion. Tut tut miss librarian j/k. And, one odd phrase describing a sick sleeping child's hand that I really had to consider for awhile before I got a feel for what the author was trying to describe. Also, I didn't get a feeling from the descriptions of the colony that there were actually over 1,200 colonists present and active. It feels much smaller with emphasis being placed on the maybe twenty characters or less that get names and stories attached to them.

Now, putting all that aside. None of that takes away from the power of this piece. I was little concerned about even reading it because it's long, involved, and yet unfinished. But it's worth it, even unfinished as it is. And it's so sociological in its drives and descriptions, as opposed to most fiction which tends to be 'hero' driven. This is really interesting and strong writing, quite different from what I'm used to. I'm glad to have read it. I hope you come back and finish it.

Beautiful. This whole story is just beautiful. Oh, and you can't have stopped where you did... I need more! This reads exactly how the series ought to have gone - had the writers been anywhere near as brilliant (and if NBC execs had half a brain and not axed it).

Oh, there are so many things to love about this. All your OCs ring true. They're alive and have personalities all their own. Ryan, especially. What a total punk, but oh-so-real in his juvenile rebelliousness, crass mouth and underhanded motivations. (I got a kick out of him referring to Julia as Hot Doctor or 'HD').

I loved little details throughout (that didn't occur to me!) like when True and Molly went off to get the Grendler saliva. I didn't even pause to think "what did she barter with?"... whoa, that kid is gutsy!

Filling in pieces of Alonzo's background was inspired. I find it amusing the notion that Julia would have had an affair with Miguel - something that seems to have become a bit of Earth 2 fanon. The rising tension between Rita and Julia, and their eventual showdown/reconciliation (of sorts) was wonderfully executed.

So, I don't know if you plan on giving us a little epilogue, or even more of this yummy goodness, but we at least gotta know if Alonzo does up and leave, and if we're all through with Council threats.

An update, please? Ya made me stay up til 4 am reading this whole thing; you can be sure I'll be back in a jiffy if there's more to come.

Wow. Wow. I've been reading this all day, and my eyes are about to pop out of my head, but it was worth it. Thank you SO MUCH for this story. MORE please! It did feel like an "end," but I know there are so many other things you could cover! The only thing I didn't really get into in this story was the whole Alonzo thing. For real, why does he wanna go back so bad? He's spent two years on that planet, working hard to build the colony, and I thought his relationship to the Terrians had changed him, made him see the bigger picture. But the rest of the story blew my mind. The twists and turns were all so marvelous (Rita, Molly's mom, how Uly was conceived...). Loved it. This story needs more Martins! Heck, it needs more of everybody, because I loved all these characters so much. This story just needs...MORE MORE MORE! THANKS! I can go to sleep now...

I was a huge Earth 2 fan back in the day when it aired on NBC and I've just rediscovered it after many years so I'm thrilled to read this absolutely marvelous fic. It's totally gripping and awesome and real and it's probably one of the best, if not the best, fics I have ever read (not just in the E2 fandom but any fandom and I've read many fics in many different fandoms). And I'm still such a D/D shipper so the D/D stuff certainly makes it even more enjoyable! Though I do kind of wish to see more of Morgan Martin in this (yes, really, believe it or not, he was a jerk but he was a great character on the show and the actor who played him did a fabulous job). Please, please finish this story! (I love your other stories too btw but this one is my favorite so far).
