I believe this was my favorite chapter yet with Wendy's enthusiasm of the thought of going to the festival with Elli but no as enthusiatic with the stony-faced Doctor. As well as how she tried to set up Elli and Gray.

I can see the image of Wendy forcefully dragging with a kicking and screaming Gray to the Clinic. Hee.

...For Rick's sake, I'm really hoping he stays with Karen.

Gosh, Wendy sounds so creepishly schizophernic, now. No wonder she's a horrible matchmaker now. As lovely as her appreciate for Rick is, her eerily violent thoughts mixed in with her wishing Karen good luck, er...

It's funny how much she despises the Doctor, though. Haha... what DOES she see the Doctor X Elli relationship, anyway? It's like "Doc" is Elli's Daddy or something to her.

On the other hand. Elli and Gray? I never thought much about it, but I think they'd actually make decent friends. This matchmaking makes me weary as well(Although I think I've seen pairings of these two "personalitiy types" many times in fiction.) Maybe something positive will occur between them, they'll just be upset that Wendy will attempt to push them into a relationship, and they clearly have their own love interests in mind.

...Which makes me wonder why the ONLY relationship she recognizes is Rick and Karen, and "accepts" it in her own twisted way.

Rick a strapping young lad? Adorable? Although his last heart event in MFoMT is sort of romantic, I can't think of him as sdorable. He looks like a girl. And that face he makes when he yells at Kai makes him look like he's over 40. But, strange things do happen. And again, your writing has me laughing and enjoying another one of your stories.

Although, Geese Howard DOES resemble a ridiculously muscular, kick butt, aikido version Joker, but... eh, I'll digress on Geese' awesomeness and peculiar name.

Wow... Cliff Popuri? That actually sounds like a viable relationship, even though it's nont Cliff Nami (which is a fic I still yearn for...). My first HM love My best Mineral Town buddy... heheh.

The thing is, I sense immediate problems with that, cuz' Cliff's introvertedness and Popuri's childish cheer are bound to clash, and it reminds me of how horribly emo todler Gades handled his initial "not-so" childhood friend Arienne. The ditzy little red-head always scared the crap out of the poor guy when he tries to study languages under a shady tree.

But those are my characters from an entirely Original Story. Still, couldn't resist brining that up.
