I like the topics your conversation between Iruka and Sasuke explored as they ate together. Curiosity about each other's well being while still having an edge to each question.

One word mix up:

Thank you! Thank you so very much for that piece of fiction. I've always wanted to read a SasuIru piece that just involved them talking (okay, with some sexual tension). That pairing doesn't really exist so I'm glad that I fell on such a well written story.

I really liked the interaction between these two especially when they were talking about Sasuke coming back, Iruka has always struck me as a practical man and I think their discussion reflected that. You seemed to have kept them in character as much as possible even with Sasuke daydreaming about sex. Part of me was hoping for more because I actually like these two as a couple if Sasuke's older that is, Iruka being a teacher I can’t imagine him sleeping with a 15 yr old. It could work I think, Iruka would always be honest with him and I think Iruka is one person that Sasuke would actually trust.

You mentioned it would be hard for Sasuke to come back though being a traitor and all but I would point out Anko, I think she sets a precedent that it's possible. He would have to prove himself or do something like give Konoha information but I think he will come back and Iruka would probably forgive and accept him.

I must stop typing this review is turning into a discussion, it was a great story though and an interesting pairing I just wish you were going to write more! :)

Actually, I found these two to be quite in character! I so love the way you portray Iruka, and moreso as you have them as a realist. So many stories have Sasuke returning and while some of them have Sasuke forgiven and others have him unforgiven but accepted, this one keeps in mind that Kohona does not like traitors.

Poor Iruka though, doesn't he realize taking any student out to lunch (ex student or not) means bye-bye income?
