I am still enjoying reading this. It has made me want to borrow some of the episodes from my local library, which has quite a few of them.

Thank you for reawakening my interest in a series that I had enjoyed in the past.

Hurrah! An ordinary day!

One of the things that wore me out with Stargate was the unrelenting soap opera of angst and turmoil that the members of the team were put through. Each week one or another member of the team was: captured / kidnapped / seriously injured / tortured / implanted / psychological torture / grief-stricken ... need I say more? And all of these adventures happened nearly back-to-back with relatively little down-time. I think one of the things that appeals to me with Aftershocks is that it covers stuff that is too 'boring' for TV, the real life stuff, like weeknight dinners, looking for apartments/houses, paying the bills, house cleaning. 'Cause if this all were to happen to a human being without relent it would be too much.

Yes, I can see where watching Oprah would give an alien insight into our culture. Somehow I missed that reference whe the episodes were airing.

This is fun to read, and a bit addictive. I keep going back to this even though I am in the middle of two other fanfics.

Love this story, each chapter gets better. I'm thinking there's not much to add to an episode, and you join it to other episodes earlier and later in the series tieing them together in ways I'm sure the original writers never imagined.

I really haven't said it enough, these series of fics are the best! Your writing is sooo fluid and clear, easy to read and the plots and representation of the characters (in my opinion) is very much in line with what we see on the show. Its like re-watching the series but with the extra little bits we all craved for. So glad you wrote these. Can't wait to read the rest!
