You capture Mal's voice so well, and your 'question' theme for the story is perfect for the two of them.

This was an incredible story. I could hear Mal's voice in my mind as I read it. You captured their voices perfectly. Thank you for the fantastic read.
The General G of K chapter 1 . 4/4/2009
First, I just have to say that I read that one-shot you did about the companions talking about Mal and Inara making love in the temple and: HAHAHA. Totally awesome that you recalled that!

Mal's inner monolgue was nicely written, and in character. The comparison of Inara's voice to an old song was a nice touch; the imagery was perfect.

This was a really nice filler piece that I feel would have fit in nicely with the 'verse. Excellent writing.

HopefulR chapter 1 . 1/1/2008
This piece was breathtakingly lovely, lush with evocative imagery and lyrical phrasing, all in pitch-perfect Mal-speak.

"She tipped her head to the side and he thought about just how long she must have taken to find that perfect angle that made men want to sit and listen to her long past the point where words had actually been coming out of her mouth. He'd been one of them, straining for her voice in her dark shuttle after she'd left."

Wonderful stuff. And mighty romantic, too. I loved it.

While I am by no stretch of the imagination a Mal/Inara shipper, you write them so lyrically I find myself drawn to it. Lovely work, as usual!
