thats a good start! now, in the next chap, just have bren sit down at the bar next to him and order something strong, not notice hes there, and then admit that she is heartbroken as well and didn't mean it!

It's a nice little one-shot. You could maybe write it from the other point of view if you wanted to- Brennan getting up the courage to ask it of Booth, and him saying no. I can see where that would be much harder but I'd be interested in reading it.
