This was a great story. I loved them combing through newspapers to look for their next job. And of course Dean in danger and being helpless is always fun. You also had a cool creature - something that has not been used a hundred times. The best part of the story, however, had to be your description of Sam and he came between the baykok and Dean, determined to protect his brother. It was absolutely breathtaking.

I love this story! Fierce, protective Sam, the way you described his eyes when he glanced at a helpless Dean gave me shivers. And the interaction between the brothers was spot on. I've read this one several times already, it is a definite favorite.

Love the joking between them about the trauma of washing Dean in the tub, and the view from Sam's back when he carried Dean. :D

I loved the part Sam played in this one. More often than not, it's Dean to the rescue, but it was really fun to see warrior Sam. Good job.

"Right," Sam nodded sagely. "I forgot. You were armed with M&Ms.;"

"Now you're psychic?" But it was said with affection. / And it struck Dean how long it had been since he'd felt this happy. He grinned. "Yeah, didn't I tell you?"

Unable to talk or even roll over in bed those first few hours, Dean had appreciated it more than he could say. More than he had any intention of saying.

Great story. I love when the protective Sam comes out. I would not want to be on his bad side.

Great fic. You captured the boys relationship so well during this time. And loved the MOTW; only Sam would remember a banishing spell in Latin, and good job for Dean he did as nothing else was working on the baykok. Loved the banter at the end of the fic, and am not surprised either that Dean found his breakfast in his boots when he finished his shower!

I loved this glimpse into Warrior!Sam, especially because Dean can pretty much take care of himself; but Sam as college student has been the mainstay of his character thus far. And now he kicks some butt (quite gracefully too). I liked how you first described Sam in hunting mode as something dark and predatory. It didn't even sound human for a bit-something fierce and otherworldly. His banishing chant was chilling-and very, very cool. ;)

I liked reading abotu a hunt that the boys went on between Wendigo and Dead in the Water. It was an interesting situation, for Dean to be trapped and watching, and Sam to be the soul source of salvation from a messy death-by-evil-creature. It was pulled off nicely, however.

Warrior Sam is kind of...um...hot! Great description of that giving me a nice visual. And some hurt!Dean to go along with it! Very nice.
