I'm crying. I love Mara!

I don't know, it seemed more like Friendship/Tragedy then Horror/Tragedy to me. It's was still good though.

hmm, well i dont know if its cry worthy. the closest i ever come to crying over what i read is a dry-gasping...*clears throat* anyway.. i liked Mara. she had her own voice, which for me takes some dang good writting. (published authors dont always do good enough job)

and even tho angel was a bit ooc, she was believable. somany pple steryo type her. well maybe not that many... im gonna...

Congratulations, this is a surprisingly poignant piece. (especially considering we just came from the vampfang/celeste trip)

Mara gets no characterisation in the book - you've given her a nice personality, one that seems true to what she could be. We always throught that she's be a bit like Omega, supporting Itex, but the shockcollar theory works as an explanation.

Crits are that Mara's speech is a little discordant - she sounds almost southern US, not lived-in-a-hellhole-in-Germany. Especially in referring to Angel as 'kid'. Angel isn't as capable as a fighter in the story as she is in the books, and we don't quite get that creepy vindictive streak in her thoughts.

We like, though, the way that Mara thinks, and the reference to Iggy thinking similarly.

We like the fact that things don't end happily. Because Life's like that.
