Reviews for Partially Kissed Hero
JustASquib chapter 44 . 10/25
This was like reading a technical bulletin.
Antelino chapter 2 . 10/19
I'm going to keep going because I like the idea behind this fic but so far the writing hasn't impressed me, there has been far too much telling instead of showing. Characters have very little actual conversation, you seem to give them a blurb or two then proceed to tell us everything else. It's very cut and dry with not a lot of emotion most of the time. You really breezed over so much I was a bit disappointed.
Loudheart99 chapter 43 . 10/11
In regards to the authors note about Slytherin Harry. How do you explain Tom Marvolo Riddle then. An orphan, thought Muggleborn, with nothing to his name, not even being part of a well known House.
Mr. Bamboozled chapter 40 . 10/10
I like how they use yards even though they are British
The Taco Man chapter 73 . 10/10
You seem to keep writing without stop. Instead of a run-along sentence, you are creating a run-along story. I must confess, to present such huge changes in this universe, and to present it from as many angles as you are... It is a most challenging thing to keep such a story chained down to reasonable lengths, and to also keep the story true to it's internal monologue. No matter. The result has far more entertainment than a shorter story could provide.
SnapDragon21 chapter 103 . 10/8
What readers generally feel... :

"That's it?" One asks...
"That's it..." Another replies...

Ah, Bellatrix. Some people just want to watch the world burn. ψ()ψ

Question: Does this, pretty much the ultimate prank, make Bella an honorary Marauder?
briana.schmidt1 chapter 103 . 10/7
Please come back?
475213 chapter 77 . 10/4
Even with all that going on, I notice he doesn’t have a defense against dryad arrows.
briana.schmidt1 chapter 82 . 10/4
So yeah... I have a question. If in the Canon books. Dumbledore had been cursed by the ring, why did he not take it off, kill himself, and have Snape revive him with the 60 year old Dumbledore hair? As entertaining as it is, I don't believe it could fit into the Canon story unlike the rest. Except for...
If the wards are fending off all those with a Dark Mark (genius to add the Disco Eaters btw) what about the rest he has in reserve? Don't they too obey Voldebutt? Therefore, all it would take is a group of such people to bring down the wards concerning Moldyfort. And suddenly the only thing standing between you and death are the houses. Hope the Weasley twins pranked everyone to listen
GoldenGryphon chapter 103 . 10/4
Howdy!
It took me longer than I expected to read through this - running off to research odd bits and pieces you included, as well as catching a cold slowed me down a tad.
Lovely story. You are very good at not leaving loose ends lying around. And I learned very quickly to pay attention to every aside or sly comment made by a character, or every "by the way" you tucked in between the action bits. Very nice!
I love your characters - well you have well-balanced, logically acting, solid characters. Not all of them are very nice, but they are believable. That can be very, very hard to do, especially with your ever-expanding cast.
Your assorted ANs were amusing. I *am* one of those "Snape-lovers", but that's not for the character. I just love Alan Rickman's voice. My spouse agrees with you, though he humors me. So it's a thing we've agreed to disagree on. Just like I see your points - Snape as a character is an abominable man. Horrid in every detail. Dumbledore in the books is equally as questionable. Your characters make sense - you managed to take what JKR created out to it's logical extreme, and you did a great job at it.
I hope all is well with you and yours.
Best thoughts!
Solvarisis chapter 66 . 10/4
Quite honestly, you're amazing at it. I really loved how you built this world and how well this story has been written. Here comes the but, though. I don't know how I just lost it. Everything seems to be falling in place. Precisely where they should be. I tried rationalising to myself that everything is too far fetched for a reason but, point in turn, it's too far fetched for me to digest, somehow. You're an awesome writer and an even better thinker. Thank you for such an amazing story and the company it has given me in so many silent nights. I'm definitely keeping this one in my favorites.
mojones2119 chapter 27 . 10/3

475213 chapter 44 . 10/2
I like the amount of detail in this chapter. The detailed defense scheme points to an impressive amount of forethought.
briana.schmidt1 chapter 45 . 10/2
I hate this story. no? darn, i thought that would work. i actually love this story and while i do enjoy the other fanfics that you bash on and dislike the harsh way you bash them, in the end, that's your opinion and nothing i can say will change that fact. on your claim that you are an amateur in writing, i feel i must correct you here. I have read PUBLISHED novels that were less concise, logical and intriguing. You are already a master and cannot wait for more. in fact everytime you use facts to back up your theories, I get a little excited, and the punishment of the Dursleys was simply masterful, when you brought up the mention of Zeus and Promethius, I immediately saw that. IT. WAS. AWESOME! I love Fablehaven, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and while i've never seen Thundercats, the use of Colonel Sanders was masterful! Even more so when the MASCU Agent told Twinkle toes that the Colonel was not a threat, I nearly died laughing. I simply love this story. nothing you have written has seemed off to me. My Uncle is a huge fan of the Canon stories. I try to get him to see that Ole man Al is in fact the worst villian in the whole universe. His argument is "Even Dumbledore realizes that he's made mistakes, and even tells Harry that being somewhat cleverer than everyone else, his mistakes tend to have higher consequences." I however do not believe that as Aesop said, "Any excuse will do for a tyrant." and to my mind, Dumbledore is the tyrannius tyrant. I wish i had a lozenge for latin, but as it does not, please bear with my butchering.

P.S. I am not sure that this crossed your mind, but the Lotr series was based off of Norse and Finnish mythology. however as you set the Dwarves in Scandinavia, maybe you do. Just know i am a fast and forever fan. I would love to read anything that you had Published in future. I'm sure that you could easily reach the top of the #1 Best Sellers List. Thank you for keeping me entertained and my interest in a story that otherwise i would have most likely clicked out of. Poor Grammar, Exposition, and Plotline a good story do not make. Have the best of days.
