| Fan chapter 1 . 8/18/2016 You know, the Final Bleach Chapter just came out and it was utterly, heartbreakingly disappointing. Almost immediately, I thought of this fic that I read over 6 years ago. I think it shows better than anything I've ever read (except the first few arcs of the actual Bleach manga) why what Orihime has with Ichigo could never compare with what he has with Rukia. Their relationship just runs so much deeper. So thank you for this fic, so much. It's a great reminder that I haven't been crazy all these years shipping IchiRuki. They really are perfect for each other. |

| Quickslice chapter 1 . 2/8/2014 I remember reading this almost the same time I read 'Raining' but for some reason forgot to type in a comment. I really like the way you let Inoue know her place between Ichigo and Rukia, and at the same time show how much the bond between them really is. Ichigo and Inoue, from the very start I watched and read Bleach, didn't show any chemistry between them, they don't have that 'giggle factor' I always noticed on Ichigo and Rukia's glances towards each other. Even in Hueco Mundo when the 'Substitute Group' went to rescue Inoue, there is/are (a) difference/s when they rescued Rukia from her execution in SS arc. I rememder reading an essay about these differences and I should say it makes sense. Reading this again made me think that this is by far the best portrayal of Inoue's rejection. Very good plot, beautiful story. |
