Wonderful story!

I happen to know the book of Job pretty well and I just want to state for the record that it was Job’s WIFE, not his friends who told him to curse God and die. But I also want to state in her defense that she too lost everything they had at the same time Job did, including but definitely not limited to ALL TEN of their children. She was angry, but even so, in the end she got blessed by God tenfold along with Job. But no matter what, children cannot be replaced. I do however understand and appreciate the sentiment of what thatwritr is trying to say ultimately.

Liking this story so far, but came across these lines... "It was bought out by, OF ALL THINGS, a wealthy Indian family from Atlanta who hadn't known quite what to do with their latest investment when it came to decor. SHIVA AND SARIS DIDN'T WORK WITH WIENER SCHNITZEL."
Much too stereotypical, don't you think? I'm an Indian and we are SO much more than just Shiva and saris. This line can totally be done without. What's the point? It added no extra layers to your otherwise well-crafted story. It's just manifesting your own prejudices against one specific culture (even though you've rooted for interracial marriages in the story).
Many readers could be Indians, and this line could be hurtful to people's sentiments. Please see if you can forgo letting my culture down.

I have to say I loved it. I love the work and research you put into it. I love the characters you created and recreated from the book. This story is one of those that will have me thinking about it for years to come, mostly because of the incredibly intelligent and thought provoking conversations the characters have.

Okay so I didn't look when this fanfic was posted but I know I'm reaaaaally late to the party.
Regardless, I wanna say: THANK YOU for making Mark a POC. Holy shit, the amount of fanfics this site has (and the amount that I've read) and it's like a fucking Disney cartoon. Holy pooper, I'm happy to see this.
Yeah, it sucks that he died in chapter 2, but the mere fact that you wrote Bella with this kind of a story tells me so much.

For characters who take centuries to change, this ten year span has made the characters unlikeable and too different. I get you’re trying to make a statement about growing up and the ridiculous romance and fairytale of canon, but it’s too much of a change for this reader.
