Elfinabottle 9/20/11 . chapter 23
Very nice chapter with a lot of history in it. It's sad to think what could have been, if Denethor hadn't succumbed to despair, and his earlier dislike or jealousy of Thorongil. I think he and Aragorn would have made a formidable team against Sauron. It's good that Boromir is keeping an open mind.

Good to see another instalment of this story. Boromir would indeed have been able to give much useful information.

Abject Tears 12/17/10 . chapter 20
I found this a really interesting and well-sketched account of how the events of FOTR might have appeared to Boromir. I enjoyed your attention to detail- especially in regards to the re-forging of Narsil. Please update soon =)
Virtuella 11/18/10 . chapter 20
You know, I've wondered about this, too, this setting of in the middle of winter for a journey of weeks and weeks and not really giving much thought to where their food would come from. Thanks for bringing that up!

Great chapter. I thought the way you showed the group in the breakfast meeting with Elrond was particularly good. Thanks for updating.

If it's an empty land then nothing should be happening
Virtuella 6/13/10 . chapter 19
I had to grin all the way through this, because I kept thinking of the Lance Morris Men... :D

A wonderful chapter! I loved the dance so much, and how transfixed Boromir was by it. Thanks for updating. x
Virtuella 6/10/10 . chapter 18
I delighted in that garden scene with the laundry. It's a necessary task, and yet you have given even the mundane a touch of Elven grace. Interesting idea that Frodo would have expected to die on the quest even as early as this. Interesting also Arwen's role here, it fits her well.

Arwen - I liked what she said here. If only Boromir would heed her words, remember not to listen! Although, I think he likely wouldn't have it not been for Lady Galadriel's intrusion. In this she proved to be the sorceress Boromir feared. I am sorry but I simply think that the Lady awoke something in him that he was not prepared to face - namely despair next to the already felt and so far honourably faced temptation. Nice to see her grand-daughter attempting quite the opposite. If only it would be enough - or Gandalf and Aragorn were able to show Boromit the true danger as much as Arwen attempted here.

Greatly done so far - thank you for sharing.

I like Elrond's reasoning why to send the younger Hobbits with the Quest - once more perfectly done. (-: And I feel very much with Boromir, feeling lonely as he does.
