3-left-turns chapter 13 . 12/19/2011 My god... All i have to say is BRAVO... this is by far one of the most fantastically written stories (of all fandom types) that i have ever read. You drew me in with the oddness of the story and then you kept me with the my fantasy of what should have happened after the movie... BUT you made it believeable and possible. Caroline Burgress is simply evil and fantastic... All i gotta say is please continue writing this story i know its been forever... but come on... You have to continue it... Otherwise i would send it to Joss Whedon cause he might need to take a few notes from you. Thank you so much for this AWESOME, BADASS story. Thanks! XD |
Jillian A.K chapter 13 . 12/3/2011 For some reason I thought this story was marked complete. I see it isn't, but it's not at the worst ending point, either. Still, I'd like to see more. If you do write more, I'd like to see more of the crew. I am not as interested in Caroline. She's better in small doses. No, that's not it. I loved her for most of the story. But she started annoying me in Ch. 8. It does not do to make your protagonist too uber-smart or capable. She may not want her allies and enemies to see her sweat, but your audience needs to see it. Plus you had her have the lucky stroke of Mal turning out to have started the Wave and showing up when she was giving new intel on it. I'd like to see what Mal said to the crowds, and the role he played in events. Mal was our hero before Caroline, and he needs to be visible and effective. At the end of ch. 9, Caroline said keep a bigger enemy from fighting. I guess you meant how she is poisoning the Alliance air filters, but I think you could have used Belinda to take the steam out of Mal's sails (he can't be angry at a woman holding a baby). I love River the spy-master. I wonder if and when her personal tragedy at the hands of the Alliance will go public. What is Caroline doing with the assassin River caught? Is Chari actually being bought by the Alliance to use as propaganda against Caroline? Regards. |
Time and Fate chapter 13 . 10/7/2009 I really love your fic. The integration into the end of the series was flawless. I can't wait to see where this goes! |
Morwen Tindomerel chapter 13 . 10/1/2009 I can't say I'm surprised by what happened to Chari - however I wonder if Carolyn might not have kept her contract if Chari hadn't made the mistake of showing attachment to the baby? |
MAndrews chapter 13 . 9/24/2009 Caroline is unquestionably one of the best OCs I've ever encountered in any fandom. |
cHr0n0sPh3r3 chapter 12 . 8/22/2009 Excellent story, i just adore the story, keep writing because this has been favourtited D |
ermintrude421 chapter 12 . 8/20/2009 This is an amazing epic. It's well-written, well-plotted and almost like Joss himself was writing it. I especially liked Mal's bumbling when he found out Zoe was pregnant-last! LOL! How typically Mal. You've got everyone spot on-and I love your continuing saga of the 'verse and life in it. Eagerly looking forward to more! Keep it coming-I'm on the edge of me seat. |
RionaEire chapter 12 . 8/19/2009 Hm. The propeganda scene was entertaining, I've always found propeganda amusing on one end and disturbing on the other, funny because it is so out of proportion and disturbing because it really can move the masses, whether its true or not. But your propeganda scene was really enjoyable. As for the rest of the chapter I feel like this has all gotten huge, bigger than I enjoy reading, what with everyone spread out all over the place and what not. So I do think this is the point where I will be hopping off this freight train, I've had a blast and loved the story and all the things you've done, but now I think its time. I do however find it amusing that River has observed the same things, about the lesser of two evils, that I've always thought of about Caroline, the alterior motives, the tastes of power etc. I'm sure you will continue getting loads of reviews so I know you will get on fine without mine. You've done amazing things and I wish the story plenty of readers going forward. Riona |
Mackon chapter 11 . 7/11/2009 Great story. Thanks for sharing. |
RionaEire chapter 11 . 7/6/2009 I really liked the scene with Zoe and the radio, both because it was really funny with commercials and all and because the radio is used as a way to explain what is going on, listening to it reminds her of Wash, the baby etc. as well as telling us what is going on with Caroline's efforts. I like how you are able to convey the muddy truth about the situation: the Republic is doing well now but I get this feeling that it could become corrupted at some point, just as the Alliance is, the liquidity of politics and the ease with which it is corrupted. I don't know if that's what you're insinuating or if I'm just an inherantly cautious/suspicious person, but right now things are going well so that is good. Good thing for the crew that Miss River woke up lucid and saved them all. Its always fun when River saves the day, and the way she did it was really funny and made me laugh, especially the whole bit about squealing hamster on imphedimines :) silly stuff but hey it works. Rhyolight04 chapter 11 . 7/5/2009 Welcome back! |
bladefax chapter 11 . 7/5/2009 Hell of a good story...keep it coming. |
Bytemite chapter 11 . 7/5/2009 Super-genius combination of cats screeching and nails on chalkboard, go! Excellent commentary on political pundit "newscasts" too. Also: those song lyrics are lovely, as is the idea that pop-songs of today may have become childhood songs in the 25th century. |
