Damn... this truly is one fanfiction that makes me cry and my heart ache so terribly every single time. While I would have loved to see some sort of a sequel I think it's good to just finish it here, leaving the rest to my imagination. Thank you so much for writing this story, it is a beloved.

probably the most remarkable thing about this story is that its had me awake until 3 am, as though I were 14 again and not 26. the second is how wonderfully in character everyone is- truly a rarity these days, when the movie interpretation and distance from the book series has so shrouded fan portrayals of these characters. though at times a bit wordy in earlier chapters, this story really had me gripped from start to finish. the final cathartic moments- both with Dumbledore and later Snape- felt truly earned. that too is pretty rare. well done, honestly.
