I honestly hope you'll someday return and update this fanfic. It has me utterly frustrated because I wish to know what will happen...so it'd be wonderful to see this story continue on once more.

I decided to find this to read after I saw your amazing picture on Leading Men and I need to know that Vaan is ok and I need Penelo to reproduce her awesome right hook on Larsa because he should have known to keep Vaan and her in the loop or they'd get sucked into it another way because, hello Vaan, he is like a troube magnet, he went to steal some treasure from a palace and got swept up in saving the world and restoring ex-royalty to the throne so come on... (but then there wouldn't be a story so...) I'm sorry I just love this so much and I felt like having a bit of a waffle.

I was lurking leading_men and found your fanart for this, with that scene of Vaan passed out (btw I DO miss your BV art very much!), and decided to give it a read despite my exhaustion. It's been ages since I've read it and I think I know why. It's cause I know there isn't anything new since fricking March! LOL. It's been so long since you've updated it and that's such a shame cause it's SO FRACKING AWESOME OH GOD HOPE. It's so beautiful. The dialogue especially is very convincing. But you tease me so! I must have more Balthier and Vaan-ness! Jeebus, just look at the FFXII archive! More and more fics just ruin our old fandom we used to support. Man, do you even like these two anymore? LOL /poke poke/. Yeah that's me guilting you a bit.

I love Penelo's stubbornness and quick thinking in this... something I sure wish I had. She's so awesome in this fic! And I adore how the Nethirym is controlling Vaan on and off, and how much if affects Balthier, especially. Also, oh man, I'd love to see some one-on-one time with Fran and Balthier, mostly with the nifty Viera nitpicking Balthier's ever-rising feelings for Vaan. That'd be awesome! Oh, I DO hope you continue to write this, even though it's been ages! I'm sure you're busy with new fandoms and work and all, but if you want to dabble in some old times, pick up this old fic! Seeing your latest art finally prompted me to find a slice of time to tackle this fic. I've fallen in love with your writing style, by the way. Your talent with words rivals your skill with a pencil. The number of details you throw in are awe-inspiring - you really do know the FFXII world inside-out!

This is a fantastic story. I was initially apprehensive - 'possession' typically makes for dangerous waters on ffnet - but pleasantly surprised by the mystery you've woven here. After reading your other story, I shouldn't be so shocked! The drama and suspense has me gripping my seat, and the description is wonderfully vivid. And the political intrigue! Larsa, lying to them! A wonderful observation you made on Archadian politics, too.

And I loved this particular sentence to pieces: 'Lesson to the wise, next time Balthier wanted something, it was just better for everyone if he took it.'

Also, Penelo's slap was epic. Is it wrong I took such pleasure in it? Balthier certainly earned that one. This is one of the few stories in which I really enjoy reading Penelo - normally she irritates me, but you've done an excellent job at catching her personality without making her an annoying stereotype.

I hope you manage to finish this story, it's such a good setup you've got going here.
