The kraken is definitely a bit of a fair weather friend. This is exactly like how I picture his personality when we see him in the books. He's just as likely to hurt than he is to help. Good job.

Wow. How do you come up with all this absolutely unique ideas? The Kraken... now it was definitely not what I expected. And being bored as the reason it moved. LOL. Congratulations, you have given the Kraken a charming personality that had me laughing with it against the midgety pirates, and agree, though reluctantly, with its thoughts on Alanna and Numair. They're not as bad as others, but they ARE arrogant. I loved reading this.

I love finding stories from "unusual" (not generally written about) points of view :) Glad he got some relief from his boredom. :D

That was really cool! I always did like the Kraken in Wild Magic. I do wish he would make more appearances in the books though. I can imagine the trouble he would want to cause..lol

Nice. Very nice and very different. Anybody who has read the books would know this from Daine's point of view, but this is the first from the Kraken's. I think you portrayed the old ship-killer's personality quite well. Numair and Alanna's little bit were well done as well. There is a thing you misquoted. When Daine says "You’d never make it on time" it's supposed to be "You’d never make it in time". Well that's what my version of the book says anyway. Other then that, the story is well written, easy to read and follow as well as being rather entertaining. Very nicely done.

You've got to love fics taken from the Immortals series ). I couldn't find any real errors in this. The characterization of the Kraken was excellent, as was that of Numair and Alanna (towards the end). I don't know if comparing Alanna's magic to the purple of weeds that fringe volcanoes was intentional symbolism (I'm guessing so), but it was brilliant as well. Awesome story

Unique, and highly interesting. _. The kraken has always been one of my favorite of the immortals, and it was great to see his character and powers a little more in depth. I don't know why Pierce didn't include him again - I guess maybe because he would have basically made all the battles not worth fighting :P.
