I don't know if I've ever reviewed this story before, but it is by FAR my favorite of all your fanfics. (And I love your drawings, too. XD Kounterpole Kindergarten lo.) I've never even seen West Side Story, (I know, I fail) but just in a small oneshot I feel like I know Riff and Baby John personally, and of course a parental spanking just makes me wanna hug'em both! Wonderful story, you really have a lot of gifts! Keep it up, I really love your work. :)

I really enjoyed this story. I liked the way you pointed out the difference between the angry beatings Baby John had suffered at his mother's hands, and the calm punishment that Riff gave him in order to correct his behavior. I also liked that Baby John's tears in the end were of relief. Nice job.

Very well done. I liked how you handled it and demonstrated how Riff was separating a punishment from a beating.

It's nice when someone specifically writes the difference between abuse and discipline. I find that an important thing for people to remember, no?
