This was a charming and interesting ficlet. The character portrayals were spot-on and consistent with the original story. I couldn't stop reading until there wasn't anymore to read. Thanks for posting. I'll be adding this to my story alerts just in case the inspiration comes back in the future.

That is just a doggone shame... But as a fellow writer, I know that some writer's blocks are just a bear. I have been writing a sci-fi for 20 years. Of course, it's 18 books long, but, the point still remains. It's taking me this long, because I keep hitting blocks, don't have time, etc. And I have a problem with filling all the loopholes...

Good story. Very sentimental. I wish they would make a movie of how the Wizard had his ballon accident and got stuck in Oz doing the various stuff he did up till the point where he went home with Dorthy.

I am thinking something like Lion King 1 and 1/2 but a little more serious.
