This remains one of my top favorite Starscream stories. I won't deny that I've always wished there was a sequel to it, maybe where Jennifer is captured by Decepticons and Starscream repays the favor that she did for him.

This was brilliantly written, with near flawless grammar and punctuation and spelling, which makes it a treat to read multiple times. A few things felt unfinished and made me want to read more, even an epilogue. Did she get together together with Max? Did they get in trouble for bringing back the leg? Did she get in trouble for letting Starscream translate her recordings? Did the Autobots ever apologize for being such jerks to her? Did the General ever get his comeuppance for being such a jerk? I couldn't stand that guy! Did Jennifer ever get so fed up that she gave up and said "Screw you guys, I'm going home!"

Anyway...Thank you for writing this story and sharing it. :)

SQWEEEEEEEE! OMG LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! A story in which Starscream learns of true humanity. Awesome!

I did enjoy this. It also goes to show that NEST could not have been all sunshine and roses. People must have been getting the short end of the stick.

I feel sorry for both Jenn and Starscream in this. Starscream because of how badly he got injured in the first place and Jenn because Starscream's last comment is right. This is really good! I'll just go read the rest of the series now... Keep up the good work!

I absolutely LOVE this story. Old favorite I finally got around to reviewing. I can't even properly voice how much I love this story. You capture Starscream so well, and your OC is just fantastic.

Wonderful story, very well written, very good plot and long chapters.
The descriptions of the charakters, the places and situations are so amazingly precise your inner eye creates the scenes in a flash.

Interesting concept. I can see where linguistics would be important to understanding Cybertronians but the military would consider it unimportant. I like Starscream's characterization here of cooperating and gathering info for his inevitable escape. Jennifer was rather naive but she was an interesting character. Great job.

A really fascinating view on Starscream, and the frictions between Decepticons and Autobots culturally and linguistically. Want to understand a culture? Study the language and their stories. Brilliant.

You did a good job of writing the OC's; I'm always a little wary of them but as with the rest of the story, you did a brilliant job writing them.

I especially liked that you included some techno-babble and you talked some about the written language as well. I'm currently learning Japanese and some of it kind of reminded me of the combinations of symbols and words used to create words in that language. (For instance the symbol for wind is used to write cold (as in the sickness) as opposed to English which uses cold for cold, which I thought was an interesting parallel.)

Also when she handed him the tapes to translate I went uh-oh then when Max said that most of the soldiers were gone and his cellphone was missing I especially went uh-oh lol

Anyways, yeah, once again this was brilliant and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I.. did not expect to like this as I am not the largest fan of OC's but this was really good! I'm off to read the rest now. :D

Please don't take this the wrong way, but I think I love you. Language and social perceptions are so very vital to understanding, and this is so rarely addressed in fandom. of course, I'm a 'special' crazy geeky fan because if not for the lack of classes, I would have gotten a degree in linguistic anthropollgy instead of cultural anthro.

This was really just fantastic. The Autobots /do/ have questionable morals. I was watching the first few episodes of Armada today, and I had to laugh when Optimus said that the Autobots are peaceful and their mission is to destroy the Decepticons. Really? How is that peaceful?

Anyway. I loved Starscream in this, and ratchet as well, and Ironhide, and Jennifer and Max were terrific OCs. I loved her project and that the humans were tired of Optimus not giving them any help with technology and basically just everything.

I can't even get out how awesome it was. Just... so amazing.
