guardianofdragonlore chapter 1 . 3/24/2015 And more ties are shattered. |
Emily chapter 1 . 11/20/2014 Great scott, this is amazing! I didn't think America would get hurt so I was all relaxed and then BAM my freaking heart breaks into a million pieces! You have a talent, my friend... |
Merpingalong chapter 1 . 12/23/2013 I liked your story a lot! It was really well done & accurate - everyone likes to forget that it was 90 percent America's fault. One little thing - the Boston Massacre was in fact a massacre. It doesn't seem like it now, but if you compare population of Boston to people killed in the fight then and now, it's about equivalent to 180 people killed. Little interesting fact I picked up from the tour. |
IcarusWing chapter 1 . 6/9/2013 Ooh, I liked this. :3 In your author's note, you say "ex-brothers." But regardless of their history, they're still family. If I went and told my brother right now that we weren't, we still would be. I don't know. I feel like a lot of people see them as no longer family because they want to ship them but want to make an excuse for it to not be incest, but since you don't ship them it kind of made me curious as to why you think like that. I love their relationship too, though. X3 |
damtoti chapter 1 . 3/28/2013 Wow, this almost hurt to read. Pretty |
Krystie.T chapter 1 . 11/7/2012 This was great! I like the way you made it so that England wasn't sure if he was the one to shoot him and how his Captain drags him away in the end. "It was like a bullet straight into England's heart" was well written indeed :) I believe from what my history teacher told me of the Massacre, they didn't shoot directly at the crowd, but straight up (as a warning). Unfortunately, the bullets had to come down, and with enough power behind them to kill. The colonists were too close, so it ended up killing 5 of the crowd. If they had shot AT the crowd, I'm sure there would have been more casualties, and it wouldn't have been good to rise up more animosity with relationships so bitter. |
ButterflyFlutterCry chapter 1 . 3/3/2011 Contrary to what you wrote at the end, I have read in History before that Captain Preston was actually behind his soldiers. The reason that he wasn't fully punished for the troops shooting into the crowd was because people weren't sure where, exactly, the word "Fire!" came from, even though one person claimed that the word came from behind the soldiers, there was supposedly something else going on that just added to the confusion. I can say that the quotes you put in were right, and you were right about the propaganda thing - When I first heard of it, I expected that the whole crowd was killed or something, but only 5 died and I was like, "Oh :P" It was very interesting to see this with the Nation Personifications, thanks for writing it, very good! _ |
bbissocute chapter 1 . 9/5/2010 Very nice! I like how well you portrayed England and America in this fic; you really got their relationship. Nicely done. :) |
it's simply me chapter 1 . 6/26/2010 Hooray for not shipping yaoi! I think you're the first person I've met who isn't! I loved the pure, raw emotion, and I was looking for a pre-independence story, and I think this takes first place! |
Gin-inu chapter 1 . 3/27/2010 very good. you made this particular moment in american history a little more interesting than our US textbooks. :) good job, i liked it |
WhimsicalShmoo chapter 1 . 10/25/2009 That was very well done Lots and lots of emotion in there, a good feel for the sense of confusion. And the way England accidentally got America...that really summarized the essence pretty well. Brilliant work, and thank you very much for posting! |
Midori-chan902 chapter 1 . 10/17/2009 And to think it could happen like this...This was just awesome, can you make more or is this the end? I must know! |
Youkaineko chapter 1 . 10/16/2009 Why would you regret this? It's amazing! So sad, and so historical! Arthur being the one to hit Alfred...I was on the metaphorical edge of my seat reading that part! *love~* |
LupinandHarry chapter 1 . 10/16/2009 you shouldn't regret uploading this, it was quite good! Really really good actually. I just got home from school, so my mind is shot right now, and I'm sorry I can't produce a good review. |
RasalynnLynx chapter 1 . 10/16/2009 Aww.. This was really cool. I liked how you stuck with the historical facts and added in the emotions. Nice story! |
