Wow, just... wow. I love the way you portrayed teenage Helga. She really should have more confidence in herself. I love how flippant she seemed on their first tutoring sessions, and I love how honest she gets when she gushes on about her love god (when she finally admits it to herself that yep, she's still head over heels for him), right in front of him no less! This fic gave me a really warm feeling inside; I love it! Of course, as you mentioned in your first author's note, the ending was a bit less than stellar, but the journey's was waaaay satisfying. I checked out your other stories, and was kind of sad to see you wrote more in other fandoms I wasn't really familiar with. Maybe I'll get around to watching those series JUST to read your fanfics (yes, I am that far gone). It's been a wonderful ride. Thank you for creating this lovely piece of work. This was just wonderful! By far one of my favorite Hey Arnold stories and I’m impressed how you managed to keep everyone in character aged up! Helga and Arnold were particularly amazing. I could hear their voices while reading, really. Honestly, it felt like a script of an actual episode, that’s how good it was. Even though you say you’re not a poet, I believe you’re a pretty accomplished one! This story was an amazing ride, thank you do much for writing it!

Oh. My. God! I'm crying, literally crying and it's only the seventh chapter! Why, oh why has it taken me so long to discover this beautifully written piece?! Your portrayal of the characters is spot on, your prose is second to none, and your story flows so naturally that I'm laying here wondering why this ISN'T a movie! You comrade are in my book one of the best Hey Arnold! story tellers I have had the fortune of sampling, I look forward immensely to reading more of your work!

I'm not really a fan of this show and I only had a passing familiarity with the characters, but I really enjoyed it.

I'll acknowledge the lack of an overall plot, other than the "will he or wont he" sort of denouement (and a hat tip to the initial phrasing of Arnolds letter, it was clever) but I really didn't mind it because it was nice to see the exploration of the characters, particularly Helga (it's really her story after all).

Anyway, thanks for the great story, it was a pleasure to read.
