I have enjoyed reading your take on what could have happened after Edward left Bella. Having read many fanfictions on the subject, I, too, believe Edward - and even Bella, in some ways - got off too easily when they were reunited.
What I liked most about reading Stranger Than Fiction was the opportunity to catch up with Bella and see how she lives her life post-Edward. I enjoyed reading about how Bella is able to mature over the years, even though it was disconcerting that when she finally sees the Cullens again, she is older than most of them, including Carlisle.
StF differs from other stories with similar plotlines because Bella is actively trying to move on by hooking up and attempting a serious relationship with Thomas. I appreciate that he understands, in the end, that Bella was - and never will be - his.
I also greatly admire your characterization of Jacob, in that he is able to overcome his romantic love for Bella in order to remain her closest confidant, even without imprinting. I must admit I was wistful that he would never get to meet or imprint on Renesmee, but I understand that this is not a viable future for Edward and Bella.

Very good story. Grammar is perfect, storyline is interesting and I really enjoyed it. Although I would've liked to know more about the dynamics of her relationship with Jacob after the change, as well as her career. Regardless, great story :)

I very much prefer this version of New Moon. It was the one book of the Saga that, whilst it carried on the storyline, didn't ring version? Very realistic, even with the angst. Very well written.

Dam. I'm willing to bet that this is a great story, and that I'd really like it, but after reading part of chapter 2 and realising that Bella was seeing another man, I had to stop reading.

Even with Edward being gone for 6 years, the thought of either of them with other people is just wrong. The mating bond is always mutual, and what always struck me as OOC even in the Twilight Books was Bella's relationship with Jacob towards the end of New Moon and after.

SM said in an interview that she was "surprised" that her editor liked Jacob so much, and that the editor requested she add more Jacob to the first book. This is one (of many) hints that SM never intended for Twilight to become a love triangle, and that she was pressured into doing so.

Another major hint is "Forever Dawn". Forever Dawn is an unpublished AU sequel to Twilight that Stephanie wrote, but never released. On her website, she list all the major difference between Forever Dawn and New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn. Forever Dawn covered the events of Eclipse and Breaking Dawn, but not New Moon. In Forever Dawn's universe New Moon never happened. One of the major differences that was listed for Forever Dawn (which she wrote before New Moon) is that Jacob and Bella's relationship never developed beyond a small crush on Jacob's side (like in Twilight).

The very fact that her editor had her add more "Jacob scenes" to Twilight, and that an entirely different sequel was written in which Bella and Jacob never developed a relationship proves that SM did not want Twilight to be a love triangle and that she was pushed into creating one.

Bella's actions in New Moon, Eclipse, and part of Breaking Dawn were OOC as HELL. She essentially cheated on Edward in Eclipse, both physically and emotionally. Tell me that you could tolerate your boyfriend/girlfriend going to a place where you are forbidden and spending time with a guy/girl that not only hates you, but claims to love your partner and is trying to "steal" them away from you.

I'll end my rant. I having nothing against your story, but because of Bella's disgusting behavior in Eclipse, I find that I am equally disgusted when I see that (or similar) behavior in other stories. This is nothing like that of course, Bella was with Edward in Eclipse, whereas he's been gone for 6 years here.
