Whirlwind421 chapter 2 . 6/23/2015 Awesome. I really do like all your fics. :D
chapter 1 . 5/10/2014 aww, loved this!
AzoNintendo chapter 1 . 10/20/2012 Wooow, that was amazing. It actually reminded me a lot of how I felt when I came out, which is good. Nice realism, and could totally work within the context of the show. This story is my new head canon.
Semaphora chapter 2 . 10/14/2011 Did you write this show? Come on, be honest with me. Because that's how perfect the characterisation of not only Perry Cox, but everybody in this story, was. While I adored the first part of this two-shot, the second just blew me away. You know how much I love your Perry? Well, I love him even more when a story is written in his first-person perspective. You bring in so many mannerisms I didn’t even know he had, and while the subject matter of this story is one not particularly supported in the Scrubs ‘verse (in that JD, despite all his femininity, is not gay), you still manage to twist it so it sounds perfectly viable. Emphasis on the perfect. This is exactly how I’d see not only Perry, but the rest of the cast react to JD being gay. How it was different for all of them, especially. While Carla’s reassuring and motherly reaction and Turk’s hurt over not being told were beautifully written, I absolutely adored Elliot’s understanding when JD began to talk about being sent to a camp to be “fixed” when being gay didn’t mean he was broken at all. That, and her tentative (if not a little airheaded) question of whether or not she was the one who turned him gay. Cox’s reaction to that was priceless, but my favourite would have to be his: “Atta boy, Newbie” when JD was surrounded by friends who not only loved, but accepted him for who he was. Ah, the coming out party. Even the lead-up to it, with JD and Cox’s discussion on glitter, was a laugh. The relationship between them is stronger than ever in this story, and I adore Perry for not letting JD’s sexuality influence his view of the younger man at all, except seeing him as a stronger person for it. Then his conversation with Carla to top it all off? Poor Perry, being hit with so many different realisations in one day. It's hard being him, isn't it? But I enjoyed the parental flare, and I think I said this once before but a story where JD is gay without crushing on Perry is a welcome relief. Despite how much I love JD/Cox, it would have been out of place here, and the fact that he treats JD the same way he does his son is infinitely more beautiful. The actual party was adorable on so many levels. JD is still JD, as cheerful and rambling as ever. The way he reacted to Doctor Geryon was just so cute, and I could just imagine him getting all flustered when sitting beside him during that movie. Perry's final thought was by far the best way to end this two-shot, and like you said in your author's note at the end there, it was definitely good to see a happier, lighter side to such a harrowing experience for JD. That, and that things would go back to normal eventually, except that JD's conquests would be with men, not women. This review is a bit all over the place, as I was rereading it while writing and saying: "Hey! That part deserves a mention too!" every few seconds. To polish this sucker off, I'll just say that I love the way you write, the plot and the characters, and it was an overwhelmingly enjoyable experience to read this. Each of your ideas is unique, and pulled of with originality and grace. This one is no different.
chapter 2 . 9/30/2011 This is very good. I was about to say something to the difference between part I and II but your A/N cleared it all. You really have a skill for writing Dr. Cox. Some of the Comments were just so perfect you could have sold them to the show.
Blankingnull chapter 2 . 8/22/2011 Blown away once again by your writing. I can't get over how amazing and skilled you are - despite being non-canon I could still 'hear' everyone's voice. Every person was completely in-character and so genuine. Loved it. PD
IamthePhantomoftheOpera chapter 2 . 8/22/2011 D
FreakShowonLegs chapter 2 . 5/23/2011 This was beautiful! There were too many things to list, just the description of Dr Cox's supportive nod. You really kept them in character, I cried ALOT. And I also laughed. I loved the glitter bit where carla pointed out he treated him like his . And were he was protective of his newbie. Adorable, whenever I feel like being in a fan girl mood n having a good cry i am reading this. You know that happy feeling you get after a really emotional story like your chest is gonna explode? Totally got that from this. Now I am in the best mood to do my homework. THANKYOU! sorry for woffling. lol
supergirl3684 chapter 2 . 4/23/2011 this is by far my most favorite Scrubs story ever! LOVED it!
supergirl3684 chapter 1 . 4/23/2011 that was so great! I can totally understand JD's reluctance to say the word. At 27, I'm just now telling my friends and they're all quite shocked when I "came out of the closet"
Nebunie chapter 1 . 1/14/2011 Adored this! Like all of your works, you did an amazing job.
Moon's-Wing chapter 2 . 12/13/2010 OMG THIS STORY IS JUST EPICLY EPIC! You had Cox and JD down so well, along with everyone else. It was so much fine to read, thank you so much!
Lazy Shika chapter 2 . 9/14/2010 Hey Bells Great story lol loved how you ended it! Shika XD
Always a Bookworm chapter 2 . 5/14/2010 I've got to say, I think this is the best Scrubs story I've ever read on this site. You just wrote it so well! The idea was lovely and unique for a start- I liked how you had Dr Cox as the parent figure rather than the love interest (not that I don't like JD/Cox, it's just refreshing to have a different take on it!) and I really liked the coming out sequence. You used angsty themes effectively; the whole thing about the camp that he was sent to... Wow, that was really powerful. And I *loved* the ending, with JD's crush turning up at the party! XD! Brilliant, and a wonderful way to end it. Well done, this was very fun to read, and you had me gripped all the way through. If JD ever came out as gay in the real show, this is exactly how I'd want it to go! I know you only wrote this as two chapters, but I don't know if a continuation of this sort of idea has ever crossed your mind, maybe with JD's first date with Dr Geryon...? Either way, keep up the awesome work- you're a very talented writer! :D Bookworm
NeverThink chapter 2 . 4/1/2010 This si fanatastic, so brilliantly written, I actually believe it could happen in the show which I find is a rarity in some fanfics. Please do not take too long with the next chapter, as I am in awe and want to read more very soon! I do hope for some more JD/Dr Cox moments as they are really awesome in this. As Elliot would say, coolio! xNTx
