I will eagerly look forward to a sequel if you decide to do it. Today was the first time in a long time I decided to revisit Devil May Cry fan fiction and I'm glad I stumbled upon your story. It was engaging, well written, and I don't know about the novel you mentioned in the first chapter but this is the best explanation for why Nero has the Devil Bringer and his connection with Vergil that I've come across. I also liked that you kept all the characters in character, including Dante's foul mouth and the relationship between Kyrie and Nero (something that is rarely achieved in other fan fiction for DMC that I've come across). Thank you for writing this, it was a pleasure to read.

Definitely a cool premise you have here. The intro was quite compelling, but I feel like you hadn't planned on taking it any further, but continued it on anyway...the reveal and change are simply way too easy and their implications completely unexplored.

My only problem is that this chapter felt a bit rushed.

The only jest I have with this chapter is the cigarette thing. Dante doesn't smoke, it's one of the things I love about him because it sets him aside from all the other stereotype bad-ass good guys who like to smoke it up in tough situations.

Other than that, this was a pretty good chapter, although I don't see the point in Dante fetching Lady since things seemed to have chilled out by the time she got there. I'll set an author alert so I know when you start this fic you're talking about, and I'll spread word of this fic to my fellow Dante (ugh, and Nero) lovers so you might hopefully score some more reviews.

I really like the take you have on Nero and Vergil. I'd be surprised if Capcom can come up with anything better than your theory for the next game, cos this is just friggin awesome.
