OH MY GOD! The emotion! Arcanine's POV was awesome since it talks about how it's life with Gary was and how Gary acted towards his Pokemon was different than what everyone says. I like that kind of thing.

Out of about a hundred sad pokemon deaths, this and A Broken Trinity were the only ones that made me cry. And I almost never cry. Great job with this one-shot.
