Firstly, I loved how you pulled in everyone we know from'Shattered pieces remain' You know how much I love that story, and to be able to put everything together and how they functioned before Lauren's accident... It breaks my heart, but it's a good break in the heart. I think. hah.

Blake. Oh I love how much of a smartass she is. Takes after her Aunt. And speaking of; their relationship... God how I love how you showed us that in this one. The whole 'did you kiss' 'yes' 'was it amazing' 'yes' exchange was just... priceless.

Just wanted to say how much I'm enjoying your Montana-verse - all of it! I live in the semi-country myself (though up above the 49th) and it's all very familiar.

I've been playing with some of the same plot points lately, and it's always fun to see how divergent or similar people's ideas are. For instance, I made Lindsay the big sister of the bunch, the rebel prodigal-daughter returning home to all the baggage she'd left behind...but her mother's still the driving force of the family as in yours, and her brothers are just as bratty!

Keep writing - I'll be reading!

This was amazing and beautiful but sad too. I hate that only in three more years Blake will lose her mother, but I know. She will always be in her heart when she really needs her. You did a wonderful job with Lauren and how she teased Lindsay about how romantic Danny is when she only got her brother at the country fair. LOL! I adore this whole family story. Every seeing Lindsay now okay with Katums away where he belongs, and Danny flying in to stand at her side while she went through this.

I bet no matter how much her brothers tease or pick on her she wouldn't trade them for the world, she'd think about it, but never trade. :) Her mom is so wise and understanding in seeing into Lindsay's soul and her father is funny with "Lindsay Jo, why is there a New Yorker sleeping on my couch?" Family sure can be fun! Heehee.

"You're just that exhausted, Cowboy." She took his hand and interlaced her fingers with his, pulling him from the couch, "It's time for dinner."

She couldn't believe that she was kissing Danny Messer in the middle of her parents living room with her family waiting on the other side of the wall, but that's what was happening. Her arms encircling his neck and his hands finding her waist as they kissed as slow as molasses in winter time. He pulled away slowly, "I'm ready for dinner now."
Lindsay couldn't hide the goofy grin as they walked hand-in-hand to the dining room."

Oh my goodness...ok this is going to be a Lindsay rant so get ready :) First, I love Lady A. They are such an amazing band, and you picked the perfect song. I literally listen to it every single day at least 3 times...you could call me a little obessesed. (PS go on youtube and watch Dave play guitar on this song...they just posted a new video where he goes through it chord by chord...FREAKING AMAZING!)And I do have to agree that it fits Lindsay perfectly! Secondly, this oneshot was so beautiful. Why couldn't this be like a freaking flashback episode or a "The Untold Stories of the DL Relationhip" documentary. I definitely was imagining all of this happening while I was reading. Loved Blake...you should maybe bring her up in another oneshot or story if you write more about Lindsay and Montana or if you brought her to New York like Lindsay promised. Just a friendly thought/suggestion :) Overall, amazing story that made me smile. Fantastic job!
