This was so beautifully written! I think you captured the atmosphere really effectively in your writing style. I especially loved the pearls as the memories, and the imagery of them spilling out of his fingers was very powerful. Great job! :D

A great idea - to keep some of his memories like the dust in the core of the pearl. The idea of healing him, although keeping him still weak, to torture him again is hideous.
