Perhaps you can do something like this again but with the missing years of Vergil's life after the demon attack...?

Ahhhh Moiranna! You did it again. You've written another lovely piece that I just felt completely intrigued with. I usually wouldn't read anything that wasn't paired with Dante and Vergil (cause I love those two!) but I decided to give this one a go and I gotta say- this was well written and very sad.

I haven't read any other story with Sparda so I really don't know how people usually write him out but I really loved how you captured his personality that I can totally see. Deeply caring but stoic in a way. It's very obvious how much he loves Eva and the boys but he can't be there forever. (it almost makes me wanna slap him and yell 'STAY WITH THEM! PLEASE- SO EVA DON'T DIE!' and hug him at the same time). And what I found very interesting was that I knew that it'd come to an end and she'd die but I couldn't help but long for lady Eva to live. Seriously long for them to be a happy family D;

Eva sounds like Vergil and Dante's genuine mother in this, with the worrying and trying to take care of the kids but be happy and such. It's almost heart-breaking and I'm really glad that you decided to (though I know you didn't really decide to)-write this out. Heart-breaking, touching, and insightful ;D thanks for sharing this story. By the way, I love how this ties back to your other stories!

The writing style was simply beautiful. While I do have to stop you in your end comments. Most people don't keep journals too up-to-date. It actually makes perfect sense Eva might write in a journal every few months. I know my own mother did when she was preganant with me, and it progressively got shorter as she got closer to the due date. I rather liked that the journal entries changed in length and that you skipped around on dates. It's more realistic that way.

Although, the only awkwardness in your phrasing that stood out to me was the line, "Armed with weapons so ancient that they had fallen out of the knowledge of human mind they had come,...". The length of the description of those weapons is distracting and does trip a person up when they first read it.

However, this was a really good story and it had me smiling. I hope your mom enjoyed the dedication. It was sweet and I loved the little references to your other stories. Overall, you did a wonderful job.

I absolutely love this piece. It is so moving in many ways. Great job.

This is a really good piece of fanfiction, and it's a shame it doesn't have more reviews. I like how you left a lot of open questions about Sparda and his relationship with Eva, especially with it being from her point of view. There is nothing in canon to say how well they knew each other, or even to say that she knew everything about what/who he was (although one can strongly suspects she knew at least a little bit of the truth).

I also love how you showed her love for her boys despite her knowing they were not completely normal/human. The entry with her becoming barren is also very moving, especially placing it right on the heels of her joy at being a new mother.

Very good piece, and to be honest, I wouldn't mind reading the full set of diary entries, considering how well you made this work.

I REALLY LIKED THIS STORY! THE WAY YOU STARTED IT WAS AWESOME! THE PAGES OPEN WHEN THE FIRE REACHES THE JOURNAL AND IT STARTS! ONE OF MY FAVORITE PARTS THOUGH HAS TO BE WHEN VERGIL FELL DOWN THE STAIRS JUST LOOKED BACK AND FORTH LIKE HE WAS THINKING "HOW THE HELL DID I GET HERE!" ~_~
