The Other One 7721 chapter 1 . 2/19/2011 This is a great story. You're senario is completely possible, which makes the story even better. It is well written. |
Anemos chapter 1 . 12/10/2010 This will be my first oneshot review, and I hope you are pleased with it. I have heard much of the controversy/theory concerning Fudo Yuusei and O-Zone, but only in brief mention. The plot was very well-written and harmonized in text. The words were agreeable with each other, but I was absolutely enthralled by the personifications and concrete detail you used. My favorite was especially Z-One's shell armor (seen during Yuusei, Sherry, and Bruno's fleeting encounter with them) being a physical embodient of Yuusei's negative emotions. It is also curious how it also represents - symbolically, Yuusei's personality of concealing his emotions, along with supressing the negativity to prevent the Old Momentum from being affected. Conclusively, this story was fantastic and would match the anime's storyline very well... ...Perhaps enough that it is not merely a prediction. - Anemos |
Dragon C. Chan chapter 1 . 12/7/2010 Sweet Job. :D |
FanficFemale chapter 1 . 12/7/2010 This is very good and believable. I think by now everyone feels that there is a connection between Yusei and ZONE and I find your reasoning plausable. Good job! |
AxJfan chapter 1 . 12/6/2010 You beat me to it! I was going to do something like this as well, but I really enjoy your angle to it much more. I tend to over-dramatize things... This was incredibly well done and makes complete sense. As usual, your writing is hands on, you've made it a point to nail characterization instead of just slapping a characters name on a random personality, and every point you've made is believable. Yusei would indeed get lost in his suffering if the others were to die, and I too believe that there is a connection between Momentum and him. Not only because the fall to his 'death' in Momentum did not effect him, but because of his proximity to it's initial explosion as a child, his complete grasp of how it works without having been properly schooled, and maybe even because his 'World of Speed' resembles Momentum... But I digress. You've done remarkably well, even turning the plight to save the future into Yusei's attempt to atone for his sins against his 'friends.'I like the open ending especially, you ended it on a perfect note. Keep writing! ~AxJfan |
Very Swampeh chapter 1 . 12/6/2010 This is an amazing one-shot! You put so much thought into Yusei's formation to ZONE that I wouldn't be surprised in the least if this turned out to be what really happens. I never considered Yusei's fall into the Momentum having an actual effect on his body, but that with the Crimson Dragon makes an interesting concept. |
GhostLord chapter 1 . 12/6/2010 Wow. This story was tragic. It suggest some plausible theories though. Like Momentum reacting to Yusei's despair instead of humanity's greed and that the reason Yusei has stayed alive for so long in that machine was because he had all five birthmarks of the Crimson Dragon powering it. All in all I enjoyed reading this story. Good work |
Ginneke chapter 1 . 12/6/2010 Let's get the ball rolling, shall we? ...*gah*. (Told you I could be constructive.) Moving on - and being serious now - this is a brilliant insight into the Yuusei Z-ONE theory and definitely does it justice. I especially like that his identity had become so worthless to him that he is /never/ referred to by name, only as "he". And that Glass, Paradox and Aporia consider him to be their friend, which must really twist the knife when his lie is taken into account. I take it the overloading of Momentum, combined with the full Mark on his back, has sealed him into an almost undying state - almost like a Dark Signer, but without the possession? Though the need for the life support suggests that it's more like prolonging his existence, and that only. Also, it seems very Yuusei to get caught up in so much doubt over the whys and hows, and all in all this just makes /sense/ - far more than any speculation on Janime does (I swear those guys just love to argue). I don't think there's anything I can comment on, so I'll round off here. This was a very enjoyable read, though, and a definite fave. ~Gin |
