This is a beautiful oneshot. It deserves more reviews though. It's just so sad and sweet. You portayed Zack & Aerith's relationship well. You've done them justice. I'm glad you wrote them being reunited at the end.

Great job!

I liked this. Everyone's language was kind of fanciful, but it seemed more a like a different facet of their characters rather than a misrepresentation. I think you handled all of Aerith's relationships quite well, how Zack has the initial and biggest effect on her, how she tries to get something out of relationships with Tseng and Cloud but her heart ever calls back to Zack's. The part about Cloud looking on her with childish affection was particularly accurate in my opinion. The asides (parentheses) that you have in her interaction with Tseng and Cloud was great too. With Zack she seemed completely open and guileless and then once Tseng and Cloud come along there are things going on under the surface with her and things she isn't telling them. "Where is the proud boy that was so sure of himself? That drove her to want to do something more in her life?" I totally think a lot of the traits Aerith exhibits in FFVII are BECAUSE she met Zack and she's acting because of him or emulating him. "Why can we only be together…when we're dead? It isn't fair." The whole tragedy of their relationship, why couldn't they have been together? You wanted them both to be able to survive and thrive together, why did they have to die? Despite everything though, they are together. "Death cannot kill what never dies." Lovely line, and very good representation of their relationship throughout the fic.

Damn... I was having one of the most extenuating weeks ever; lots of meetings, theater essays and other stuff kept me in the wrong mood to even review the fics I use to read, and then, suddenly, I find this surprisingly beautiful fic...

You did a great work with Aerith, keeping her in character perfectly, his feelings are shown clearly without being overly dramatic -except the ending, maybe, but this lil' bit is welcome- , that talks volumes about your skill. Is very difficult to make a written feeling so tangible without putting a great drama. My kudos.

The only thing I could remark as "wrong" is Elmyra's judgement of Tseng... Somehow I doubt she would like see Aerith with a Turk... But that's only my PoV, so don't take it too seriously.

All in all, I can only say: "You make my day!"

Keep up with the good job! ;)

Yay! It feels really good to see a Zack/Aerith fic-surprisingly, they're hard to come across, let alone a well-written one. I really enjoyed reading this; it was nice to see a point of view OTHER than just throughout Crisis Core. I'm sort of sick of those. c:

Keep up the good work, please. u

Taking a break from studying to read this was a good decision. :) I love Zerith. Don't care about them haters; this couple is LEGIT. I loved how you wrote this and I adore how you portray Aerith. You have her character pretty dead-on. I think she liked fairy tales too. I always thought Aerith was the type of girl who longs to love, be loved and settle down.

Like, she'd be happy with a simple life. And when Zack enters her life, I truly believe she did envision a future with him and it made her happy. Which is why this couple is so damn tragic. And you've done it justice. An excellent one-shot! :D
