jmw03u chapter 38 . 10/25 This story was awesome! I love how all the adults started working with the kids to train them. And how they started taking the war seriously and putting all of their efforts into getting ready. Thank you for writing this! |
slytherinsal chapter 38 . 9/4 A well rounded ending. Satisfying |
slytherinsal chapter 36 . 9/4 You have the Carrows muddled; Alecto is female [named for one of the furies IIRC] and Amycus is male |
slytherinsal chapter 35 . 9/4 oops badly constructed sentence, sounds as though caltrops are raining down on the invaders, which is a bit of a pointless waste of caltrops. nicely run fight otherwise |
MissGSmith51 chapter 19 . 8/18 Since the group monitoring the Dobbs family knew to expect Wormtail - who could use alternate, unseen openings to enter the house - why wasn't someone waiting INSIDE the house to ambush the rat? Sometimes I think the Order members act like a bunch of inept stooges. I'll bet the kids would have had someone inside. Better still, they'd have had the Dobbs family spirited away and hidden before the attackers arrived. I don't know why someone in the Order - preferably McGonagall. Shacklebolt, or Remus - doesn't visit the PM and get permission to evacuate the Muggleborns and their families to one of the military bases. Surely there is one that is either completely or partially closed down, which could be utilized for the purposes. It would be much easier to keep them safe this way. I'm willing to bet the PM would get the Good Guys military assistance to get rid of the Magical terrorists. Honestly, Wizards really don't have any common sense, do they? As for Dumbledore wanting to close Harry's connection ... Harry might be spared visions, but he would worry himself sick over not knowing who was going to be hit next. Harry is in a no-win situation. |
missgsmith51 chapter 32 . 8/18 You know, I've always wondered if this wand would work if it were just taken or stolen, as opposed to having been won in a duel or battle. Wands seem to be somewhat sentient, if Mr. Ollivander is correct that they "choose" their wizards. If that is the case, surely a wand won in battle would be more likely to change its allegiance than one simply taken. Consider, for example, Neville's difficulty with his father's wand. It really didn't work for him. If actually "defeating" the owner is required, then Draco, as the one who killed Dumbledore, would likely be the wand's true master, wouldn't he? Putting aside the above thoughts, I'm also wondering if the true Peverell heir (Harry) might affect the wand's performance. What if the wand's current owner were to just up and die? Is it possible that the wand might simply disappear to the family vault, like some Head of House rings do, until the rightful head shows up to claim them? Is it possible that Death would finally reclaim the Hallows? The wand and the Stone, in particular, are rather troublesome - the wand because people covet and kill for it, and the Stone because it disrupts the peace of the Dead. JM2K. |
missgsmith51 chapter 21 . 8/18 I love Dobby. I think his and Hedwig's deaths, in canon, made me cry harder than any of the others. Both were innocents and did not deserve to die. I still don't know why Hedwig wasn't sent off earlier. If she had been, she wouldn't have died ... at least, not then. I truly believe Dobby, for all of his goofiness, loved Harry absolutely unconditionally, and more deeply than any other character in the story. I suspect it gave him some peace "afterwards" to know that, if he had to die, he at least managed to save his beloved Harry Potter Sir. As nasty as Kreacher was initially, I think it is probable that he may have felt a similar love for Regulus. Regulus seemed to value Kreacher, and it is possible that he was the only Black who ever did. Whether or not he loved him is tough to say, given the Pureblood attitudes. I do think Harry did love Dobby and, without a doubt, considered him a friend. I'll never understand why he was not called on during the hunt. |
Rake1810 chapter 36 . 7/17 Fantastic. A death who shows up in the real word. Loved it. |
Rhino109 chapter 32 . 4/30 Piggyback, not pick-a-back. |
Fiction is the Truth chapter 38 . 4/21 I’m imagining soccer moms, but... QUIDDITCH MOMS. Making tee-shirts, flags, furious baking competitions. I love it |
Fiction is the Truth chapter 36 . 4/21 I like that the Veil is death |
Fiction is the Truth chapter 9 . 4/13 Now I’m picturing Agusta Longbottom getting ready for war. It’s wonderful. Now, if this she is anything like Grandma Zhang from Percy Jackson, this would be awesome |
Fiction is the Truth chapter 3 . 4/13 I which Harry has logic, ‘imma sic Hermione on the project for freeing Sirius. It’ll work fast.’ |
Storm shit chapter 3 . 2/4 Not even the end of this chapter and I got bored |
