This is one of those types of stories that make you say damn the sea, damn the pirate life, damn the one piece, and damn the pirate king.

Oh my, i never thought of the two women meeting. Its really got my imagination going ... not that way! But Kaya lost her mom when he was really young and never had friends before Usopp, (its describes her as lonely). She need a female friend, maybe mom or big sis type. Im assumign this is a one shot. Too bad I'd love to see them trade stories, or see Makino's reaction to the news that Kaya knows Yasopp's son.

And a recent cover shows that after the timeskip Makino has a baby...no clues to who's the daddy. Oda didnt' have guy near Makino & baby. So the Shanks/Makino shippers are hoping that its Shanks, saying its possible that at some point tehy went back to Dawn Island. Its all speculaation but so is most fanfics ;)

I loved this! The emotions of the two seemed so...right! For being left being by those they loved. It was such a sad yet sweet little story. I also just love the sea is a whore part because it makes so much sense like that! Bravo on a story well written.
