Bra. Vo. Bravo. You have no idea how hard it is to get me to read a fanfic from start to finish these days, I'm hardly ever satisfied with what is put up on this website after going through so much nonsense and, to put it bluntly, garbage. This is the opposite of nonsense and garbage.

It's so weirdly amazing having a non-canon pairing that isn't written ridiculously over the top, over sexed, over dramatized. This was so perfect. Everything about it seemed right. I love the subtlety of their relationship in heaven during war, how you explain the differences between the two lovers and most other angels, how even Cas and Balthazar are so different from each other. I love how intimate they were without having sex, and that intimacy lived up to expectations without being smutty or sloppy. They felt perfectly in character through the whole thing, too. The dialogue sounded right, it wasn't cliched or silly in any way. It seemed a little wordy at times, especially for Cas being so very injured, but that didn't at all distract from the story. Their interactions were great. The other characters fit in the story like the right puzzle pieces.

And the wings. I love the thought of wings being so sensitive, and you really kicked it up a notch. The descriptions were fantastic, you painted a beautiful metaphysical picture of the situation and I drank in every word.

In light of Cas's tragic actions in the show, this fic absolutely breaks my heart. It's romantic and fluffy and at the same time sets up for the scene of Balthazar's death perfectly. They are so in character you can still see how the two angels you have written are the same angels in that final moment between the two in the show. It's really sad, and beautiful at the same time.

Okay, hope I didn't gush too much. This fic was just the last thing I was expecting when I flipped through tonight and it really made my evening, thanks so much for writing it. I'd love to see more Supernatural from you someday, though judging by the quality of this fic, I'm gonna have to read your writings on Lost once I finish watching it on netflix.

I really liked this story. It was cool to see what Balthazar may have been doing during the episode and I hadn't thought about another angel bringing the Winchesters back. It was a good point and something that Castiel should have done.

It's really nice to see how Balthazar cares for Castiel and the wondering how Sam and Dean don't realize that Castiel is lying. It's also bittersweet because of what happens to Balthazar.
