Again, great characterization. The 'comparmentalize it' insight was right on, as was the analytical thinking ('seventy percent of me is happy...') but you infuse all that with the physical and emotional responses that give a clear view of the man wanting and loving.

You have a solid understanding of both Keith and Allura.
Here's one of my favorite characterization moments:

"To think, we could have been together all this time."

"No, I actually think it was better that we've waited as long as we have…"

She looks curiously up at me as I smile, "I don't think we would have appreciated it as much."

This exchange is full of win. And I wholeheartedly agree with Keith. *grin*

Excellent characterization and lovely writing. You capture the strength and the vulnerabilities in Allura so well. Your narrative and dialogue work together beautifully, I feel I'm watching the story unfold in my mind rather than reading. And I have to say, I suspect it was intentional that you're beginning the story with Allura ridding herself of the color that was a staple of her wardrobe- it's an awesome way to set the stage for another kind of 'surrendering the pink'. *wicked grin*

Lovely to see this from Keith's point of view. Maybe you could do a one-shot each from everybody else's point of view, even Sven and Romelle, or at some extension, Jeff and Lisa.

I can't wait to read what happens next. Their feelings are so intense for each other, but I can't help but think there are going to be obstacles in their way...
