Love the last paragraph. It seriously felt like canon-Rosalie. This oneshot has just jump to my favorite lists. You are amazing!
Ava Sinclair chapter 1 . 4/17/2012
How the hell did I miss this? I thought if you were on my favorite authors list I'd get alerts. Anyway, I loved this - I love how you're able to get into Rosalie's head and bring her out the way I always imagined her. And I admire the way that you're never afraid to shy away from the dark places or get graphic. What happened to her was horrific and there's no prettying it up. So glad you're still writing because you are immensely talented.

Favorite Line: I am no miracle. I am Rosalie Hale and I was born to survive.
Bedelia chapter 1 . 1/12/2012
I should really be out the door now and on my way to work, but I had to leave you a review after reading this. You did a remarkable job of staying true to Rosalie's character while also making her someone the reader can identify with. Too often, she's portrayed as a flat, one-dimensional caricature of a spoiled rich girl. You gave her depth. I especially liked her thoughts at the end, when she decides her father was right, and she was born to survive. Excellent work.

It's good to see you dabbling again. Loved the vivid imagery used in this one. Rose's backstory as well as all the other characters is really fascinating.
giselle-lx chapter 1 . 1/7/2012
Lovely.

A perfect backstory for Rosalie.
Ironic Twist chapter 1 . 1/7/2012
Decent people raise their families to be thankful for what they have and to be charitable to those who have less. How could Rosalie, raised being taught that her fortune was her right - her reward, if you will - for not being like 'them,' be blamed for her attitude? Had she heard "there but for the grace of God, go I," would she make the connection? At what point do we expect people to rise above their upbringing and be better people despite their parents?

This one shot humanizes Rosalie more than any precanon writing I've read. Thanks for sharing it.
