Well this should get very interesting if you ever decided to make a multi-chaptered story of it... if you haven't already, that is. But this was really hauntingly well-written and I like how your writing style seems to adapt to every kind of situation (a dynasty later). And I'm not even going to try and look for something you could improve on, because I know there isn't such a thing for you. :P

Mulan was a nice choice, and I loved this little one-shot. I don't think it stands very well on its own (that cliff-hangeresque ending was...cliffhanger-ish), but I do like what's written.
