I still hate Lucius for hurting Charlie. Charlie should be 18 at the time, young... So what if the boy didn't remember? It is just like rape with drugs in our world. I think, Lucius think to himself the spell as an act of kindness...and there is the hidden fear, the memory charm was also for his own protection. While the Weasleys had little money and power, their wrath could be great. Bill was head boy and curse-breaker, and angry Molly could kill Lucius with bare hands if she ever found out what he did to her second born. That part about Charlie chills me, even more than the poor house elf.

Wow. This is fantastic. There's a kind of ethereal, aloof beauty to the whole thing. I was just surfing through the LJ's and never expected to stumble across this little gem.

Everything is so deeply felt: distaste for the plight of the sorry house-elves, Draco's almost-wistful naiveté, Narcissa's humanity, even Lucius and his own unadmitting little acts of kindness. And the account of what is down the road just adds to the ambience. Wonderful.

ONE other review? *goggles* FFN really doesn't know how to sustain its most beautiful writers, honestly. After a month or so of lurking on your LJ and gaping, I thought I'd wander over to your FFN account, and this was so very lovely. The fruit, and Charlie, and why Draco hates Ron so very much; the house elves, and Narcissa, and innocent Draco. *melts* It's beautiful, haunting in all the right ways. Wonderful.

This story scared me, at first, reading Charlie Weasleys name.

But I really enjoyed this story, getting over the sexual parts and to the man ideas, and Draco.

He's a fvorite of mine to read, even if it does involve some fucking.

I really enjoyed this story, and you did a great job writing it.
