Oookay so I teared up at the family drama talk, that was SO cathartic. yes, this is the kind of bad-communication angst I love. /clutches heart in pained anguish
Beyond that though there's so many beautiful little details! I loved Kris and Silver in the first chapter, but things like Green's familiarity with Red's mother or Lance (Lance sounds like a SWEETHEART although also like kind of an old man, I love this characterization of him...) ... it makes things real, it really gives a sense that Green has a history, though time has passed. All these people are living! It kind of aches.
Although I'm suspecting a lot that the point of this fic is "GREEN EVERYONE LOVES YOU A LOT PLEASE STOP THINKING NO ONE CARES..." and that's even more very painful
AND THEN OF COURSE THERE'S THE SECOND HALF OF THE CHAPTER AND IM SCREAMING. That was so good! Green! ;W; I did NOT expect him to just take Kris' big question in stride! (well, kind of in stride) (have I mentioned I love Kris and I love their relationship, esp. after what happened/didn't happen, it feels very authentic as well and it's so good to see.)
Anyway, so excited to see in two weeks how that goes down and how Red is going to be like now.

Also: congratulations and thank you for continuing this for all this time. I don't know if the extra years have helped you write this in this mature way, or simply helped ME as I read it (I was still in my late teens when you first posted, I'm right Green's age now!), but I'm definitely connecting and understanding exactly what adult feels/existential crises/etc. Green is going through, a lot more than when I first read it, and it's a wonderful experience. So, time well used! /o/

It's been seven year but I'm ready! Has it really been that long? Boy do I feel old now. Thanks for not giving up; I'll be looking forward to the rest of the story.
