Taken a bit of a break from FF and just jumped back in the deep end, as it were - after so many disappointing times being suckered in with an interesting summary, only to get two chapters in and want to cry, because Hermione is a purple-eyed emo Mary Sue that seems to be written as a psychotic american tween, it's refreshing to come across an indulgently intelligent and smutty fic with a decent plot and some accurate (for the situation!) characterisation. Nice dialogue, can imagine their voices. Checked out your bio and was pleasantly surprised to recognise your previous handle as one I remember following probably about 7 or 8 years ago. The SSHG world desperately needs more authors like you!

Good story. It also has potential to tell how your telling of the story would have gone like what would have happened if he survived? Just as it is, it is perfect too and fits in to cannon. I love how it comes full circle with the woman with long red hair and how you captured how his insecurities would be. Something sweet and sad about it. Great job, realistic, to the point and well written. Applause and thanks for sharing.

Wow, that was incredibly hot. Shorter fictions are not usually my thing, but you really did a great job conveying the hurt, awkwardness, tenderness, and desperation of the whole coupling. The end was such a jaw dropper. So many questions left unanswered and yet perfectly ended. I want it to continue, but there is something beautiful about they way you left it. Truly beautiful piece you have here!

Severus is one of my favourite characters and you capture his feelings and what he's going through perfectly.

He is one of the most misunderstood characters and I think that's it's sad that nobody really understands what he has done for everyone until it's too late.

A sequel where they get together after the war would be lovely and Hermione saving his live.

Oh, this was FABULOUS! I almost wish there was a sequel or longer epilogue where they get together and live happily ever after, but this was so perfect just as is! I'm so glad I found this :D
