OMG! I swear I've read this fic four times now and it keeps getting better! I love how you've written an actually realistic(for fantasy) horror-romance. Your writing style also helps bring out all the details and showcases the plot. Amazing story, can't wait to read it again!

I love how Finnick's mom calls him little fish. "What if he could tame a shark and ride it? How amazing would that be? " Very awesome. Finnick is just perfect. This chapter being in his point of view is really awesome.

Overall this is a great story. I like your take on merfolk, both in regards to their behavior/culture and your unique vision for their appearance. I love the idea of the froggish legs instead of the traditional fish tail. However, your description of the legs lacking an ankle - while a good reason walking on land isn't very doable for a creature with legs and bones - doesn't seem compatible with the way you describe Finnick balancing on his "hands and feet". At best, it would seem, he'd have to be on his knees.
That detail aside, the only other criticism I have is about some of your grammar. I would recommend running your stories through something basic like MS Word; it should catch most of your mistakes. Perhaps, even, having another person read through to help you edit. You have a lot if run-on sentences that need to be broken up, though you also have some that are unnecessarily isolated (i.e., too short). There are also times where you repeat words, as though to started writing be sentence, stopped for a while, then continued with a different phrasing without checking what you'd written (something I do all the time). Some cursory editing will also help catch other typos. For example, at one point when Finnick is talking to Cordelia, he calls her "Cora" (though this kind of thing is always a risk when you have two similar characters with similar names).
Anyway, these mistakes don't really impede from enjoying what you've written. While clearly a take on the Little Mermaid and the classic "in love with A but betrothed to B" plot, your spin on things makes for a very fun and engaging read. The way you write Finnick is especially good. I encourage you to keep writing.

I'm loving the plot, and The Little Mermaid was never my favourite. I see the merpeople in HP, and I like the description of Finnick's laugh sounding like a dolphin. I think it's more realistic. Although we are talking about merpeople here. But then again, whose to say..

Cliché ending, but lovely nonetheless. I would have liked a blow-by-blow description of Finnick's journey to become Sea King, but it doesn't affect the story much in the long run. Wonderful job!

This is so creative and beautiful… I love it. Although if you really are comparing the Sea Witch to President Snow, maybe the witch should be a Wizard or Warlock. :)

Your writing is so amazing! I'm so glad I stumbled into this one. I love how this completely fits with district 4 of course that was probably your original intent. And also I would like to comment that I really appreciate the amount of effort u put into this story, even going about putting in real details and research throughout the story.
