 Prinder 9/23/02 . chapter 1I love the flow of your poem. I couldn't help but to read it out loud. It's true that people either view him as too soft, but they also view him as too hard also. I've always thought that there was a softness in his eyes, a longing. It sortof reminds me of a wounded animal, beated and scared. But also like an animal, when scared or prevoked, he attacks, he attacks and he kills, maims, destorys, anything and everything in his wake. I believe Heero Yuy himself said it best: "Those who fight me with the desire to kill me, they are my enemy." err... or something to that affect. He also said: "I've said this before; the only way to live your life is to follow your emotions" Now, either he's a hypocrit, or he really means that and does it himself; I tend to lean more towards the later of the two. And wasn't it Dr. J, the one who helped train him, that said: "Heero really is a kind-hearted young boy." and that "He understands the emtional pain we (the colonists) have had to endure over the years." All of this points to a softer, kinder, side to the great Heero Yuy. True enough, I couldn't picture him to be a great big mush-ball, but I can see him doing small, almost unnoticable, things to help the ones that he cares about. He wouldn't show it in what he says, he's to blunt and to-the-point for that, but it would come into being through what he DOES.
Okay, i think i've rambled enough. ^_^;
