Reviews for A Heart as Wide as the Sea
Kari Izumi chapter 1 . 5/6/2017
Oh, man! I saw this come across my Tumblr dash, and I gotta say this was worth the read! Stories with two characters who have never crossed paths in canon can be tricky to pull off, but you've done well to show their bond here.

And all three characters are so well-rounded! This is exactly what you could see happening if they got together, and the whole story of Mako's father was just so sweet.

I really enjoy this story. :)

Ataahua chapter 1 . 2/2/2014
I stayed up way longer than I should've reading this. I have work in six hours... But this was amazing! Really well-thought out, sad, yet heart-warming. You should be proud! I really enjoyed reading this, so thanks! :D

Wow! Congrats on making it this far and finishing so strongly!

This definitely had all the elements of a nice adventure. All the plot points were neatly connected and there was enough character development and interaction to make it meaningful. I very much enjoyed the ride, and appreciate all the hard work it's taken you to get this far. :) Congrats again!

Excuse my short review this time round, but there's really not much for me to say on this. You've covered the story really nicely; not a single plot-hole I can spot. The characters were really nicely written (and I'm doubly glad to see good Malik getting along with everyone here). The way you built up to Kajiki's father was really beautiful as well - and the way these three not so firmly connected characters at the beginning have found a real kinship at the end. I was a tiny bit surprised that Shizuka was never mentioned, since Ishizu was, but that was just a random thought on my part. A really gorgeous fic.
